The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

The Early Years Foundation Stage is aimed at working with parents to help children to achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes, which include staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being.

There are four themes that underpin the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework - (1) The Unique Child (2) Positive relationships (3) Enabling Environment (4) Learning and Development.

When your child starts with us, you will see how all these areas of learning and development fit into what the children would call "PLAYING!"

During our last Ofsted inspection, Beech Green Nursery was judged to be GOOD in "How well the provision meets the needs of the range of children who attend." The inspector said:

"Staff provide a welcoming and stimulating environment where children settle well to learn."

"Children are motivated to learn and make good progress."

"Activities are planned taking into account children's interests and their next stage of development and their current need."

Our families often comment on the impact our Early Years provision has had on their children.

" A huge thank you. *****has learnt so much. He has loved his time with you all."

"Thank you for making ***** time with you so enjoyable. She has had a brilliant time at Nursery and has learnt lots of new things that will help her for the future."
